Blue Martin Construction Specialists works across Victoria and Queensland, delivering custom homes, extensions, townhouses and apartment works (within scope), commercial fitout and refurbishment, and heritage and structural restoration.

The practice is intentionally small, with the registered builder involved in every project from pricing through to delivery and handover. We deliver across residential and commercial sectors, including:

Blue Martin is director-led and site-active. The same registered builder who prices the work remains responsible through construction and completion.

Our experience includes work in active retail centres, heritage sites, airport environments, and occupied residential settings, all requiring careful staging and coordination.

Our Story

​Blue Martin began in Melbourne with residential renovations and structural repair work. It later expanded into commercial delivery, including retail and hospitality fitouts across multiple states.

 

From there, the practice grew into centre-side and institutional work, delivering capital maintenance and remedial projects for major commercial assets, as well as airside refurbishment at Melbourne Airport.

Heritage and structural restoration became a core capability, including complex emergency-order rebuilds such as the 1850s terrace at 121 George Street, East Melbourne.

Today, Blue Martin operates across residential and commercial sectors, with Victorian work delivered under VIC Domestic Builder–Unlimited registration and Queensland projects delivered via QBCC mutual recognition.

Ilyas is a Melbourne and Brisbane-based registered builder who personally oversees every project. With more than a decade of hands-on delivery, his experience spans residential construction, commercial fitout, refurbishment, and heritage and structural works.
